What Happened
The pivot bolts for the roof rack crossbars on your Jeep are the parts that keep the crossbars securely attached to your vehicle. In some 2022-2026 models, these bolts might not have been tightened correctly, allowing the crossbars to come loose.
Risk if Unfixed
If the roof rack crossbars come loose, they could detach while you're driving and create a hazard on the road. This could lead to a crash, especially if another driver hits the detached crossbar.
Free Fix
Your Jeep dealer will tighten the pivot bolts so the roof rack crossbars stay securely in place. This repair is free, and you should contact the dealer to schedule it when you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2023-2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, and 2023-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L vehicles. The pivot bolts for the roof rack crossbars may not have been tightened properly, allowing them to detach.

Detached roof rack crossbars can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the roof rack crossbar pivot bolts, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed October 8, 2026. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 81D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 17, 2026.
