What Happened
The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) label on your vehicle shows the maximum weight it can handle. However, this label on your 2020-2026 Nissan Armada, 2011-2013 Infiniti QX56, or 2014-2027 QX80 has the wrong weight limit, allowing you to overload the vehicle.
Risk if Unfixed
If you overload your vehicle, it could be more likely to crash, putting you and others at risk.
Free Fix
Your Nissan dealer will replace the incorrect label with the correct one, free of charge. Nissan will also mail a new label to you. Once you get the recall notice, schedule the repair at your convenience.

Original — What Happened
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020-2026 Nissan Armada, 2011-2013 Infiniti QX56, and 2014-2027 QX80 vehicles equipped with 22" wheels. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Dealers will install new labels, free of charge. Additionally, Nissan will mail replacement labels to owners. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 4, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R26B1 and R26B2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 16, 2026.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

What Happened
The back-up camera in your vehicle helps you see what's behind you when you're in reverse. In certain models, the display settings can be adjusted to hide the rear view image, and it will remember that setting even after you restart your car.
Risk if Unfixed
Without a clear view of what's behind your vehicle, you're at a higher risk of a crash while reversing, especially in tight spaces or when children or pets are present.
Free Fix
Your Nissan or Infiniti dealer will update the back-up camera software to ensure the display shows a clear image when you're in reverse, at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Nissan Altima, Armada, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, Titan, Titan Diesel, Versa Note and Versa Sedan vehicles, as well as Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX30 and QX80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 Nissan GT-R and Taxi and Infiniti QX50, QX60, Q70, Q70L vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.

Nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began November 11, 2019 and all affected VINs should be activated. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
