Known Safety Recalls

Critical #25V437000 Plain English
Component

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:HARD PARTS INTERNAL/MECHANICAL

Manufacturer
Nissan North America, Inc.
What Happened
The engine bearings in your vehicle are like tiny, critical rollers that help your engine run smoothly. In some 2021-2024 Rogues, 2019-2020 Altimas, and 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50s, these bearings might not be made perfectly, which could cause engine failure.
Risk if Unfixed
If the engine bearings fail, your engine could seize, and you could lose power while driving. This increases the risk of a crash, and if the engine block is breached, hot oil could leak out, potentially causing an engine fire.
Free Fix
Your dealer will update your engine's software for free. This should help prevent engine failure and keep you safe on the road. Keep an eye out for a recall notice in the mail, dated April 8, 2026.
