What Happened
The driveshaft in your vehicle is like a long rod that connects the transmission to the wheels. It helps transfer power from the engine to the wheels.
Risk if Unfixed
If the driveshaft breaks, you could lose power while driving, or your vehicle might roll away when you put it in park without engaging the parking brake. Both scenarios could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your INFINITI dealer will replace the driveshaft with a new one at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Nissan North America, Inc. (INFINITI) is recalling certain 2011-2013 M56, 2012-2013 M35 Hybrid, 2014-2018 Q50, Q70 Hybrid, 2014-2019 Q70, and 2015-2019 Q70L two-wheel drive vehicles. The driveshaft can fatigue and break.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
A broken driveshaft can result in a loss of drive power, or a vehicle roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the driveshaft, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 13, 2024. Owners may contact INFINITI's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. INFINITI's numbers for this recall are R24A5 and R24A7.

The driveshaft in your Infiniti is like a long metal rod that connects your transmission to your wheels. It helps your vehicle move forward. But in some 2011-2014 models, this driveshaft could break without warning.
Risk if Unfixed
If the driveshaft fails, you could lose power and control of your vehicle, making it hard to steer. This increases the risk of a crash or your car rolling away, potentially causing injury.
Free Fix
Your Infiniti dealer will replace the faulty driveshaft with a new one, at no cost to you. Schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2011-2013 Infiniti M56, 2012-2013 M35 Hybrid, and 2014 Q70 and Q70 Hybrid vehicles. These models, equipped with 2WD and with a hybrid or VK56 powertrain, have a driveshaft that may break.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
A broken driveshaft can cause a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash, or may disable the parking brake, increasing the risk of a rollaway and injury.
Original — Remedy
Infiniti will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driveshaft, free of charge. The recall began February 5, 2021. Owners may contact Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
