The wire harness in your Infiniti G35 connects sensors that help your airbag deploy. Over time, this harness can wear out and break, causing the airbag system to fail.

Original — What Happened
NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005 THROUGH 2007 INFINITI G35 SEDANS MANUFACTURED FROM MARCH 29, 2004 THROUGH AUGUST 25, 2006 AND INFINITI G35 COUPES MANUFACTURED FROM APRIL 1, 2004 THROUGH MAY 30, 2007. THE WIRE HARNESS CONNECTING THE BELT TENSION SENSOR (BTS) AND THE OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (ODS) CONTROL UNIT UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT CAN EXPERIENCE RELATIVE MOVEMENT WHICH CAN CAUSE WEAR AND OXIDIZATION OF THE TERMINALS AND MAY CAUSE INTERRUPTION OF THE SIGNAL.

If your headlight system doesn't meet safety standards, it could make it harder for other drivers to see your vehicle, especially in low-light conditions. This increases the risk of a crash, which could cause injuries or even harm.
Free Fix
To ensure your safety and the safety of others, your Infiniti dealer will replace the headlight assemblies with new ones that meet the required safety standards - at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible after receiving the recall notice.
