Component
AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The airbag in your passenger seat is designed to deploy in a crash to protect you. But in some older models, the inflator that makes the airbag work could suddenly and unexpectedly explode.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, the explosion could send sharp metal fragments flying into the passenger area, putting you and others at risk of serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the faulty airbag inflator with a safe one, entirely free of charge. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, so be sure to schedule it as soon as possible.
