What Happened
The seat belt buckle in your vehicle is a critical safety component that holds your seat belt in place. Unfortunately, some of these buckles were not made to withstand extreme forces in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If a crash occurs, the buckle could fail to secure your seat belt, leaving you unrestrained and at risk of serious injury or worse.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the buckle and replace it if necessary, at no cost to you. This is a critical safety repair that you should schedule as soon as possible.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES, LIGHT DUTY TRUCKS, SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, AND MINI VANS EQUIPPED WITH TRW SEAT BELT BUCKLE ASSEMBLIES. THE BUCKLE BASE OF THESE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES WERE NOT PROPERLY HEAT TREATED AND THEREFORE DO NOT PASS THE LOAD BEARING REQUIREMENT OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 209, "SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES."
