FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:PRESSURE RELIEF DEVICES

Manufacturer
DELPHI
What Happened
The fuel pressure regulator in your vehicle is a crucial part that helps control the fuel pressure inside the tank. Certain aftermarket regulators, installed after January 9, 2007, were made without a critical seal, which could cause problems.
Risk if Unfixed
If the regulator fails, fuel could leak out, potentially causing a fire. This could put you and others at risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your vehicle's fuel pressure regulator will be replaced by Delphi, at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair as soon as you receive the notification.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP

Manufacturer
GENERAL MOTORS CORP.
What Happened
Your vehicle's anti-lock brake system (ABS) relies on a small spring clip that keeps the motor in place. Unfortunately, some of these clips are not meeting the manufacturer's specifications, which could cause the motor to become misaligned.
Risk if Unfixed
If the ABS motor becomes misaligned, it could eventually stop working, which means the system that helps balance your front and rear brakes (Dynamic Rear Proportioning) would fail — but your regular brakes would still work, albeit less effectively.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the faulty brake pressure module valve assembly at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIGHT DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 4-WHEEL DISC BRAKES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE AN ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MOTOR CONTAINING AN OUT-OF-SPECIFICATION SPRING CLIP. THIS CLIP COULD ALLOW THE MOTOR BEARING TO BECOME MISALIGNED. IF MISALIGNMENT OCCURS, EVENTUALLY THE ABS WOULD BE NON-FUNCTIONAL.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
THE BASE BRAKES WOULD REMAIN FULLY FUNCTIONAL, BUT THE DYNAMIC REAR PROPORTIONING (DRP) SYSTEM, WHICH OPTIMIZES FRONT TO REAR BRAKE BALANCE, WOULD BECOME INOPERATIVE.
Original — Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE BRAKE PRESSURE MODULE VALVE ASSEMBLY.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP

Manufacturer
GENERAL MOTORS CORP.
What Happened
Your vehicle has a brake system that helps prevent your wheels from locking up during hard braking. A small part called the ABS module feed pipe might not be securely connected, which could lead to a leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If this leak happens, you could experience longer stopping distances, especially on slippery roads. This means you might need to brake earlier or more firmly to avoid accidents.
Free Fix
Your dealership will check the brake pipe union for any signs of leaks and replace it with a new one if needed, all at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: S -TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 2 WHEEL DRIVE. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE HAD THE RIGHT-HAND ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE FEED PIPE AND/OR BRAKE CROSSOVER PIPE TUBE NUTS TIGHTENED WITHOUT SEATING THE PIPE-FLARED-ENDS ENOUGH TO WITHSTAND NORMAL ASSEMBLY AND VEHICLE INPUTS WITHOUT PARTIALLY UNSEATING. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 105, "HYDRAULIC SERVICE BRAKE NORMAL, EMERGENCY, AND PARK BRAKING PERFORMANCE."
Original — Risk if Unfixed
IF THIS OCCURRED, THE SEATING SEAL COULD BE BROKEN DURING VEHICLE ASSEMBLY, OR FROM EARLY ROAD INPUTS OR BRAKE FLUID CYCLING, AND A LEAK COULD OCCUR INCREASING THE BRAKE STOPPING DISTANCE.
Original — Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE BRAKE PIPE UNION FOR SIGNS OF BRAKE FLUID, AND IF NECESSARY, INSTALL A NEW BRAKE PIPE UNION.

EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS

Manufacturer
GENERAL MOTORS CORP.
What Happened
The certification label on your vehicle shows the maximum weight it can carry, but it may be overstating that weight. This could lead to unexpected handling issues if you load your vehicle beyond the actual safe capacity.
Risk if Unfixed
If you load your vehicle to the incorrect weight, you could lose control or struggle to stop in time, which could lead to an accident.
Free Fix
Your dealer will send you a new, accurate label for your driver's side door, which you should install to ensure you know your vehicle's safe weight limit.

Original — What Happened
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIGHT DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH INCORRECT PAYLOAD INFORMATION ON THE VEHICLE CERTIFICATION LABEL. THE PAYLOAD SHOWN ON THE LABEL IS GREATER THAN THE MAXIMUM VALIDATED PAYLOAD. IF THE VEHICLE WERE LOADED TO THE INCORRECTLY LABELED PAYLOAD, IT MAY NOT RIDE AND HANDLE IN THE MANNER THAT THE DRIVER EXPECTS.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
THIS COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE OR AN INABILITY TO STOP THE VEHICLE WITHIN EXPECTED STOPPING DISTANCES.
Original — Remedy
OWNERS WILL BE SENT A NEW LABEL FOR INSTALLATION ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR OF THE VEHICLE.
