What Happened
The rearview camera in your vehicle is the camera that shows you what's behind your car when you're in reverse. It's connected to your car's computer with a special coaxial cable.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cable is damaged, your rearview camera could fail or only work part of the time, reducing your rear visibility and increasing the risk of a collision.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty coaxial cable with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule this repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Cadillac XT5, XT6, and GMC Acadia vehicles equipped with the optional Surround Vision feature. The rearview camera coaxial cable connectors may have been crimped improperly, causing the rearview camera to fail or function intermittently.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
An inoperative rearview camera can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the coaxial cables, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 18, 2023. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N222378380.
