What Happened
The air filter in your vehicle may be prone to smoldering or burning, which can cause damage to the air intake system and potentially lead to a fire under the hood.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, it can cause damage to the air induction system and even lead to a fire under the hood, which could be a serious safety issue.
Free Fix
You should take your vehicle to the dealership, where they will replace the air filter element at no cost to you, and you'll be notified when you can schedule the repair starting from March 10, 2004.
