What Happened
The wiper motor in your Mustang is the part that controls the speed of your windshield wipers and the operation of your car's washing system. In some 2024-2026 models, this motor might not work properly in cold temperatures.
Risk if Unfixed
If your wipers only work at their highest speed or the washing system doesn't work, it could be harder to see the road, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will inspect and replace the wiper motor if it's faulty, at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair when you get the recall notice, which has already been mailed for some owners.

Original — What Happened
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Mustang and 2025-2026 Mustang GTD vehicles. During certain cold temperature conditions, the windshield wipers may function only at their high-speed setting and the washing system may fail to function properly.

Windshield wipers or a washing system that fails to function as intended can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the wiper motor as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 9, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late March 2027. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26C32. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 2, 2026.
