What Happened
Ford is recalling certain 2022-2023 E-350, E-450, and 2021-2022 F-59 vehicles to replace the fuel tank due to a paint issue that may cause corrosion.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel tank corrodes, it could leak fuel when you're driving, which increases the risk of a fire if there's an ignition source nearby.
Free Fix
You should have your vehicle inspected and the fuel tank replaced, if necessary, for free. Ford will contact you with a letter and you can also call them at 1-866-436-7332 with Ford's recall number 22S76.

Original — What Happened
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2023 E-350, E-450, and 2021-2022 F-59 vehicles. The paint along the weld seam of the fuel tank may peel and lead to corrosion of the exposed metal, which can result in a fuel leak.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Dealers will inspect the fuel tank and replace, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 14, 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S76.
