Component
EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS
Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
Your Durango's tail lights are like the rearview mirrors of your vehicle, helping other drivers see where you are on the road. Unfortunately, the wires that power these lights might be damaged in some 2026 models.
Risk if Unfixed
If your tail lights don't light up, other drivers might not see you, especially at night or in low-light conditions. This could lead to a collision.
Free Fix
Your authorized Chrysler dealer will inspect the tail light wiring and replace the assemblies if needed, all at no cost to you. You'll get a recall notice by mail, and you can contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 for more information.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Dodge Durango vehicles. The terminals in the tail light wiring harness may be damaged and cause the tail lights to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Original — Risk if Unfixed
Tail lights that fail to illuminate properly reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect and replace the tail light assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 3, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is A2D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 29, 2026.
