What Happened
The fuel pressure regulator in your vehicle is a small device that helps control the pressure of the fuel in your tank. In some cases, a faulty regulator might not have an important seal, which could let fuel escape.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel pressure regulator fails, fuel could leak out of your tank, posing a risk of a fire. This could be a serious situation, especially if the fire spreads to the surrounding area.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty fuel pressure regulator with a new one that has the necessary seal, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
CERTAIN DELPHI FUEL PRESSURE REGULATORS, P/NOS. FP10020-11B1, FP10026-11B1, AND FP10027-11B1, SOLD AFTER JANUARY 9, 2007, AS AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT FOR VARIOUS PASSENGER VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. THE UNIVERSAL PRESSURE REGULATORS (UPR) WERE PRODUCED WITHOUT AN O'RING AND RETAINER.
