What Happened
The intermediate steering shaft in your vehicle is a long rod that connects the steering column to the wheels. The part that connects two tubes in this rod, called a weld, might not be strong enough.
Risk if Unfixed
If this weld fails while you're driving, you could lose control of your steering, which could cause a serious accident.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the steering shaft with a new one that doesn't have this weakness, and it's completely free. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible.

THESE REPLACEMENT STEERING SHAFTS CAN BE USED ON THE VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. THE WELD CONNECTING THE INNER TUBE TO THE OUTER TUBE MAY BE DEFECTIVE.

The fuel pressure regulator in your vehicle's fuel system helps keep the right amount of pressure in the fuel tank. In some cases, the regulators used in certain vehicles may not have an important seal that prevents fuel leaks.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel pressure regulator fails, fuel could leak out of the tank, which could cause a fire. This is a serious issue that could put you and others at risk.

Your vehicle's ignition switch can get too hot and melt its internal parts if you hold the key in the 'start' position for too long when the engine won't start.

If the switch is damaged, a fire could start in the steering column, even with the engine off and the key removed, and could spread to the interior of the car, potentially injuring occupants or damaging surrounding structures.
