STEERING

Manufacturer
DORMAN PRODUCTS, INC.
What Happened
The intermediate steering shaft in your vehicle connects the steering column to the wheels. In some cases, the weld connecting the inner and outer tubes of this shaft may not be strong enough, which could make your steering feel loose or unstable.
Risk if Unfixed
If the weld fails, your steering could lock up, making it hard to control your vehicle. This could lead to a crash if you can't steer properly.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the steering shaft for free. They'll swap it out with a new one that's designed to be stronger and more reliable – all at no cost to you.
