What Happened
The steering knuckle in your vehicle is a critical part that connects your steering system to the wheels. In some cases, the steering knuckle may break, especially in the hub area.
Risk if Unfixed
If the steering knuckle breaks, you could lose control of your vehicle, which could lead to a sudden and unexpected crash.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the faulty steering knuckle with a new one, free of charge. They'll also cover the labor costs, so you won't pay a thing.

DORMAN IS RECALLING 979 STEERING KNUCKLES, DORMAN P/NOS. 697-902 AND 697-903, SOLD UNDER DORMAN'S "OE SOLUTIONS<SUP>TM</SUP>" BRAND NAME, AND NAPA P/NOS. 7-8502 AND 7-8503 WHICH WERE SOLD FOR REPLACEMENT USE ON THE VARIOUS VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. A POTENTIAL MATERIAL OR DESIGN DEFECT COULD RESULT IN THE STEERING KNUCKLE BREAKING IN THE HUB AREA.

What Happened
The trailing arm in your vehicle's rear suspension is a metal piece that helps keep your wheels steady. In some 2005-2008 GM Mobility conversion vans, this part might not have been welded properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If it fails, you might hear a squeaking or clunking noise from the rear of your vehicle. If that happens, the trailing arm could break or come loose, causing a partial separation of the rear axle from the chassis, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will inspect your vehicle and replace the trailing arm with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
