LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES Safety Recalls

Under Review #02V328000 Plain English
Component

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:TRUNK LID:LOCK

Manufacturer
GENERAL MOTORS CORP.
What Happened
The emergency trunk release system in your vehicle has a cable that might be misaligned, making it harder to open the trunk in an emergency.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, a person trapped in the trunk might not be able to escape quickly, as it could take more force to open the trunk. This could lead to a delay in getting out, which is a serious safety issue.
Free Fix
Your dealer will adjust the emergency trunk release cable to ensure it works properly. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as possible after you receive the recall notice.
