STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:HOSE, PIPING, AND CONNECTIONS
Manufacturer
GENERAL MOTORS CORP.
What Happened
The power steering hose is the flexible tube that helps you turn your wheels easily. In some 2006 Buick and Cadillac models with a V8 engine, the connection might not be secure, which could cause a fluid leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If this leak happens, you could lose power steering, making it harder to steer your vehicle at low speeds. If power steering fluid spills onto the hot engine, it could catch fire, causing a serious engine compartment fire.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the power steering hose connector for free, so schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
