SUSPENSION Safety Recalls

High Priority #16V948000 Plain English
Component

SUSPENSION:REAR

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The rear suspension on your motorcycle has a small metal arm called the deflection lever. It helps control how your bike handles on the road. There's a tiny bolt that holds this lever in place, and on some 2016-2017 models, it might come loose.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bolt comes loose, it could affect how your motorcycle handles, making it harder to steer and control, which increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will tighten the bolt and replace it with a new one to ensure it stays secure, all for free. You should schedule this repair when you receive the recall notice.
