Component

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The 'Dynamic Pro' riding mode on your S 1000R or S 1000XR motorcycle has a feature called 'front wheel lift-off assistant'. This helps your motorcycle stay stable and easier to handle. Unfortunately, a software update might have accidentally turned it off without telling you.
Risk if Unfixed
If you don't know the 'front wheel lift-off assistant' is off, you could experience unexpected handling and control issues while riding, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will check the settings and make sure everything is working properly, at no cost to you. You should also check the 'Dynamic Pro' settings yourself and adjust them as needed. You'll receive a letter with more information, and you can contact BMW customer service if you have questions.
