What Happened
The gearbox input shaft in your motorcycle is a crucial part that connects your engine to the transmission. In some 2019-2023 BMW R1250 models, this shaft can become damaged or break while you're riding, especially in certain conditions.
Risk if Unfixed
If the input shaft fails, it could cause your rear wheel to lock up, making it hard to control your motorcycle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW dealer will update the engine control unit software for free. This update should be done as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.
