What Happened
The fuel pump flange in your motorcycle is the part that connects the fuel pump to the tank. Over time, it can develop cracks and start leaking fuel.
Risk if Unfixed
If this flange cracks and leaks fuel, it could ignite in the presence of a spark, causing a fire. This is a serious situation that can happen while you're riding.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect and fix the fuel pump flange, either by reinforcing it or replacing it entirely, completely free of charge. You'll be notified when it's time for the repair, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
