Component
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The Integrated Brake (IB) system in your vehicle helps control your brakes and keep you stable while driving. In some 2023-2025 BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce models, this system can malfunction and stop working properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the IB system fails, you could lose power brake assist, which means it'll take longer to stop. You could also lose control of your vehicle due to malfunctioning ABS and DSC systems, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW, MINI, or Rolls-Royce dealer will replace the faulty Integrated Brake system at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice by mail, and you can also contact the manufacturer's customer service numbers for more information.
