TIRES Safety Recalls

High Priority #01V001000 Plain English
Component

TIRES:SIDEWALL

Manufacturer
BAYERISCHE MOTOREN WERKE
What Happened
The sidewall of your tire is the part that keeps its air from leaking out. In some 18-inch tires on your M5 or 7-Series, a machine at the factory may have damaged the sidewall, making it more likely to lose air suddenly.
Risk if Unfixed
If a tire loses air suddenly, you could lose control of your vehicle, which could lead to a serious crash. Driving could become extremely difficult, and you might not be able to stop or steer safely.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect your tires and replace any damaged ones for free. If you've already taken your vehicle in and haven't received the repair, contact BMW at 1-800-831-1117 to follow up.
