Component
STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The supports in your car's roof liner are like little stays that help hold it in place. In some 2021 BMW 230i and M240i models, these supports might not be attached properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If a support falls loose, it could drop into the passenger area while you're driving. This could increase the risk of injury if the airbag deploys during a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect and fix or replace the roof liner as needed — all for free. You don't need to wait for a letter; just give them a call to schedule the repair.
