POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The shift forks, selector sleeve, and gear wheel in your motorcycle's manual transmission are critical parts that help you switch gears smoothly. In some 2017-2020 K 1600 GT, GTL, and B models, these parts might be weaker than they should be.
Risk if Unfixed
If these parts fail, your motorcycle's transmission could engage two gears at once, causing the rear wheel to lock up. This could make it hard to control the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the affected parts with new ones, free of charge. You'll get a notice when the repair is ready, and you can schedule the work at your convenience.
