What Happened
The power distribution module in your 2026 M4 or 430i is like the main hub that sends power to all the electrical systems. In some cases, the positive battery cables might not be connected properly to this hub.
Risk if Unfixed
If the connections are loose, your engine could stall while driving, which raises the risk of a crash. There's also a chance of a fire, which could cause serious injury.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW dealer will inspect and replace the cables and power distribution box if necessary – all at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair as soon as possible after receiving the recall notice.
