What Happened
The seat-mounted air bag in your 2017 BMW is a safety system that deploys in a crash to protect you. But in some models, the part that makes it inflate could fail to work as it should.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag doesn't deploy when it's supposed to, you could get hurt by the steering wheel, dashboard, or other parts of the car. This is a serious safety risk.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty air bag module with a new one, at no charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
