What Happened
Audi is recalling your 2021 SQ7, RSQ8, RS7, RS6 AVANT, or SQ8 vehicle because cracks might develop on the inside of your engine cylinder.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cracks get worse, your engine could be damaged, causing it to stall or leak oil, which could lead to a crash or a fire.
Free Fix
Audi will replace your engine for free. You should contact them at 1-800-253-2834 to schedule the repair, or wait for the notification letter you should have received on July 9, 2021, which has the Audi number 10G9.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2021 Audi SQ7, RSQ8, RS7, RS6 AVANT, and SQ8 vehicles. Cracks may develop on the surface of the engine cylinder bore.

Cracks may cause engine damage and a stall or an oil leak, increasing the risk of a crash or fire.

Dealers will replace the engine, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 9, 2021. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 10G9.
