What Happened
Your vehicle's driver's seat side air bag may have been installed incorrectly, which is a safety issue.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash, the air bag might not work as it should, increasing the risk of injury.

Audi will inspect and reinstall the air bag for free, and you'll be notified by mail, but you can also contact them at 1-800-253-2834 for more information (recall number 69GA).

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2023-2024 SQ8, RSQ8, Q8, Q7, and 2024 SQ7 vehicles. The driver's seat side air bag may have been improperly mounted to the seatback frame. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, "Side Impact Protection."

An improperly mounted air bag may not restrain an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will inspect and reinstall the air bag as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 17, 2024. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 69GA.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

What Happened
Your vehicle has a rearview camera system that helps you see what's behind you when you're reversing. However, a software glitch in certain 2019-2026 models might make the camera image not show up as it should.
Risk if Unfixed
If the camera image doesn't display, you'll have a reduced view of what's behind your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash when you're reversing.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the camera system's software at no cost to you. Schedule the update as soon as you receive the recall notice, and it'll be done for free.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2019-2026 vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
