What Happened
The part that connects your brake pedal to the brake booster in your Audi E-Tron or Q8 E-Tron is called the fastener. It was possibly installed incorrectly during manufacturing.
Risk if Unfixed
If this fastener comes loose, your brake pedal could break off while you're driving — you'll lose all brake function, making it harder to stop your vehicle and increasing the risk of a serious crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will inspect the fastener and tighten it if necessary, all for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice and contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 for more information.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The rearview camera system in your Audi vehicle is supposed to show you what's behind you when you reverse. However, some 2019-2026 models may have a software glitch that prevents the image from showing up on the screen.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview image doesn't show up, you'll have a reduced view of the area behind your vehicle. This increases the risk of a crash when you're backing up.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the software in your vehicle's rearview camera system, free of charge. You should schedule the update as soon as you get the recall notice.
