SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:PEDALS AND LINKAGES
Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The part that connects your brake pedal to the power that makes your brakes work could have been installed incorrectly in your Audi. This is the fastener that holds the pedal to the booster.
Risk if Unfixed
If this fastener fails, the brake pedal could come loose and disconnect from the brake booster. This would cause a sudden loss of brake function, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will inspect and tighten the connection between the brake pedal and the booster, at no cost to you. You should schedule this free repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
