Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The gateway control module in your vehicle is a computer that helps control various systems. It's located in a spot where liquid spills can easily happen, so Audi is recalling certain models to fix this issue.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:INSTRUMENT PANEL:FUEL GAUGE:FUEL LEVEL FLOAT/SENSOR/SENDING UNIT

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The fuel level sensor in your vehicle is what tells you how much gas you have left. In certain Audi models, this sensor can get stuck, giving you an incorrect reading on your dashboard.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor is stuck, you might think you have more gas than you actually do, and if you run too low, your engine could stall while driving. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the chance of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty sensor with a new one, and it will be done at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.
