What Happened
The passenger air bag in your Audi is a safety device that deploys in the event of a crash to protect you. Unfortunately, some 2021 RS6 and RS7 models, as well as 2020-2021 A6 and S6 models, have a problem with the air bag's score line, which could make it not work properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag doesn't deploy correctly in a crash, you could be at risk of serious injury. In the worst case, the air bag could even send sharp plastic fragments flying into the passenger compartment, making things even more hazardous.
Free Fix
Audi will inspect the air bag for free and repair it if necessary. You'll get a notice when it's time to bring your vehicle in, and the work will be done at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2021 Audi RS6 Avant, RS7, 2020-2021 A6 Allroad, S6 Sedan, S7, 2019-2021 A6 Sedan, and A7 vehicles. The score line on the passenger air bag may not have been manufactured correctly.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
An incorrectly manufactured air bag may not deploy properly, and could also eject plastic debris into the passenger compartment, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Original — Remedy
Audi will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the passenger air bag score line, and repair it as necessary, free of charge. The recall begin March 26, 2021. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 70i2.

What Happened
Your passenger air bag inflator module might not work properly in a crash, which is a safety issue.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash, your passenger air bag might not inflate, and small plastic parts could fly into the car, increasing the risk of injury.
Free Fix
Audi will replace your instrument panel for free, and they'll notify you when it's time to do so, starting June 24, 2020.
