What Happened
Your vehicle's brake system uses brake fluid to help you stop smoothly. In some 2021 Audi models and certain 2019-2021 models, the brake fluid cap might have been labeled incorrectly, leading to the wrong type of fluid being used.

If the wrong brake fluid is used, your brakes might not perform as well as they should, which could lead to a longer stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash.

Your Audi dealer will check the brake fluid reservoir cap and replace it with the correct one, if needed, at no cost to you.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2021 Audi S7, S6 Sedan, RS7, RS6 Avant, A6 Allroad, 2019-2021 A7, and A6 Sedan vehicles. An incorrectly labeled brake fluid cap may have been installed, which can result in the use of the wrong type of brake fluid.

What Happened
The rear seat belt in your vehicle has a mechanism called an automatic locking retractor that keeps your child's seatbelt securely fastened. In some 2021 Volkswagen and Audi models, this mechanism can fail prematurely.

What Happened
The passenger air bag in your Audi is a safety cushion that inflates in a crash to protect you. In some 2019-2021 A6, A7, and certain S6 and RS models, the air bag's metal lining may not be properly formed.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag doesn't deploy correctly, you could be at risk of serious injury during a crash. In the worst case, sharp plastic pieces could break off and fly into the passenger compartment.
