(Audi) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Audi A5 Sportback, RS5 Coupe, RS5 Sportback, S5 Sportback, 2020-2021 A4 Allroad, A4 Sedan, A5 Cabriolet, A5 Coupe, A6 Allroad, A6 Sedan, A7, A8, Q5, S4 Sedan, S5 Coupe, S5 Cabriolet, S6 Sedan, S7, S8, SQ5, 2021 Q5 Sportback, Q7, Q8, RS6 Avant, RS7, RSQ8, SQ5 Sportback, SQ7, and SQ8 vehicles. The rear axle alignment may not have been inspected after the repairs for Recall 21V-295 (42L1) were performed.

What Happened
The passenger air bag in your vehicle is a critical safety feature that deploys in a crash to cushion you in case of impact. Unfortunately, the score line on the air bag in certain 2020-2021 Audi models might not have been made correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag doesn't deploy properly in a crash, you could be at risk of serious injury. Additionally, the air bag could break apart and eject sharp plastic debris into the passenger area, posing a further danger.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will inspect and fix the air bag score line for free. This is a no-cost repair, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

What Happened
There's a part in your vehicle called the gateway control module, which helps control the engine and other systems. It's located in the rear seat area.
Risk if Unfixed
If liquid gets spilled in the rear seat and seeps into this module, it could shut down, causing your engine to suddenly lose power. This could make it harder to control your vehicle, especially if you're driving at high speeds, and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a protective cover to shield the gateway control module from liquids, completely free of charge.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

What Happened
The rearview camera system in your vehicle uses a camera to give you a view of what's behind your car when you're reversing. But in some 2019-2026 models, there's a software glitch that can make the camera image not show up like it should.
Risk if Unfixed
If the camera image doesn't display, you'll have a blind spot behind your vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash when you're reversing.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the software for the rearview camera system for free. You should schedule the update as soon as you get the recall notice – it's free, and it'll ensure your camera system works properly.
