What Happened
The brake pedal pivot pin in your Acura TLX, MDX, or Honda Pilot is the part that keeps the brake pedal steady. In certain 2021-2025 models, this pin wasn't properly secured, which can cause the pedal to move out of place.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake pedal shifts out of position, you might not be able to press it down hard enough to slow down or stop your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will check and replace the brake pedal assembly if it's not secure, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice, and it's free.

Original — What Happened
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Acura TLX, 2023-2025 Acura MDX, and 2023-2025 Honda Pilot vehicles. The brake pedal pivot pin was not secured properly, which can cause the pedal to shift out of position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment" and 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

A brake pedal that shifts out of position can prevent the driver from applying the brakes as intended, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Dealers will inspect and replace the brake pedal assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are FLX and XLY.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY

What Happened
The fuel tank in your TLX is the part that holds gasoline. In some 2021-2023 models, the area where the fuel tank meets the fuel filler neck might not be properly sealed, which could lead to a leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the tank leaks and there's a spark nearby, it could cause a fire, which is a serious safety risk.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will replace the entire fuel tank assembly with a new one that's properly sealed, and it will be done at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice.

What Happened
The sensor in your front passenger seat measures the weight of the person sitting there. In some affected vehicles, this sensor can crack and fail, causing the airbag to deploy unexpectedly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor cracks, your airbag could deploy unexpectedly during a crash. This could cause serious injury to the person sitting in the front passenger seat.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the faulty sensor with a new one, free of charge. You'll get a notification letter with instructions on how to schedule the repair, which should be done as soon as possible to ensure your safety.

The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.
