What Happened
The brake pedal pivot pin in your Acura or Honda is the small metal piece that connects the brake pedal to the car's brake system. In some 2021-2025 models, this pin wasn't installed correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake pedal shifts out of position, you might not be able to press it down hard enough to stop the car as quickly as you should, which could lead to a crash or injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the brake pedal assembly and replace it if necessary to ensure it's working correctly – at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Acura TLX, 2023-2025 Acura MDX, and 2023-2025 Honda Pilot vehicles. The brake pedal pivot pin was not secured properly, which can cause the pedal to shift out of position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment" and 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

A brake pedal that shifts out of position can prevent the driver from applying the brakes as intended, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Dealers will inspect and replace the brake pedal assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are FLX and XLY.

What Happened
The fuel tank in your TLX is the part that holds the gasoline. In some 2021-2023 models, the tank may not be properly attached, which could cause a leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If a leak happens and there's an ignition source nearby, like an open flame or a spark, it could lead to a fire.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will replace the entire fuel tank assembly with a new one to ensure it's safe and secure — and it's free of charge to you.
