What Happened
You might have a faulty air bag inflator in your vehicle, which was installed as part of a repair. This inflator is the small explosive device that deploys the air bag to protect you in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If this inflator fails, it could explode and send sharp metal fragments flying towards you or your passengers, causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Nissan dealer will check the inflator and replace it if necessary, at no cost to you. They'll do this when you receive the recall notice, which is expected to be mailed on September 14, 2022.
