What Happened
The front passenger air bag in your vehicle is designed to protect you in a crash. In some 2003, 2006-2008 INFINITI FX35 and FX45 models, the air bag cushion was installed incorrectly, which could cause it to tear during deployment.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag tears, it may not work properly, putting you at a higher risk of injury in a crash. A torn air bag could also deploy incorrectly, causing additional harm.
