What Happened
The front passenger air bag in your INFINITI FX35 or FX45 is a safety system that inflates in a crash to protect you. However, in some faulty air bags made a few years ago, the cushion was folded incorrectly, which could make it tear apart when it deploys.

AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE

Manufacturer
Nissan North America, Inc.
What Happened
The airbag in your passenger seat is a safety device that inflates in a crash to protect you. In some older models of your vehicle, the airbag's propellant can break down over time, making it more likely to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag inflator explodes, it could send sharp metal fragments flying towards you or others in the vehicle, causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the faulty airbag inflator with a safer, redesigned one, completely free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
