SUSPENSION:REAR
What Happened
The rear toe links in your vehicle are like the flexible joints that connect your rear wheels to the rest of your suspension. In some 2010-2013 Buick Lacrosse, 2012-2013 Buick Regal, and 2013 Chevrolet Malibu models, these joints may have a special coating that can break down over time, exposing them to rust and damage from road debris.
Risk if Unfixed
If the coating breaks down, the metal can corrode and eventually crack, making it harder to steer your vehicle. This could make it difficult to control your car, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the affected rear suspension parts and adjuster fasteners with new, rust-resistant ones at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
