What Happened
The crankshaft position sensor in your Ram 1500 or Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3.0L diesel engine is a small component that helps the engine run smoothly. In some 2014-2018 models, this sensor's tone wheel can crack, causing the engine to lose timing and misfire.
