What Happened
The ignition switch in your vehicle is the part that helps you start the engine when you turn the key. In certain Subaru models from 2005-2014, the switch might wear out and become weak, making it easier for the ignition to turn off unexpectedly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the ignition switch fails while you're driving, the engine could shut off unexpectedly, which could cause a crash. In a severe crash, your airbag might not deploy, making you more likely to get hurt.
