Your vehicle may have a faulty side airbag installed. Volkswagen is recalling certain 2019 Atlas and 2020 Passat vehicles to replace it.
RISK_ASSESSMENT
If your vehicle is involved in a side collision, the airbag may not deploy correctly, which could increase the risk of injury.
RESOLUTION_PROTOCOL
Volkswagen will inspect and replace the side airbags free of charge. This was done in April 2019, but if you haven't had it done, contact customer service at 1-800-893-5298 to schedule the repair.
