What Happened
The power steering system in your Tesla Model S has a critical connection that can corrode and weaken over time. This connection is made up of aluminum bolts that attach the power steering motor to the gear housing.
Risk if Unfixed
If these bolts corrode and break, you'll lose power steering assist. This means you'll need to steer your vehicle with more force, especially at lower speeds, which could increase the risk of a crash.
