What Happened
Your ESC system is a safety feature that helps you stay in control by automatically adjusting your brakes and engine power. In some 2011-2012 Elantra models, a sensor might malfunction and cause the system to brake one or more wheels unexpectedly.

If this happens, the brakes could be applied on their own, and the engine power could be reduced, making it harder to control your vehicle. You could lose control, which could lead to a crash.
