What Happened
The ignition switch in your Jeep is the part that turns your engine on and off. In certain 2005-2007 Grand Cherokee and 2006-2007 Commander models, the switch can be easily knocked out of position by your knee while driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your engine will shut off, disabling airbags, power steering, and brakes. This could make your vehicle hard to control and increase the risk of a serious crash or injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty ignition switch with a new one at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair when you get the recall notice, and your Jeep will be safe and reliable again.
