What Happened
The ignition switch in your 2010-2014 Camaro is the part that starts your engine when you turn the key. In some cases, the key can accidentally knock out of the 'run' position if your knee hits it, turning off the engine.
Risk if Unfixed
If the key is knocked out of the run position, your airbags might not work in a crash, putting you at risk of injury. Plus, you could lose power steering, power brakes, and engine power, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Chevrolet dealer will replace the original key with a new one that's designed to be safer, and provide you with two new keys and two key rings — all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible and, until then, adjust your seat and steering column to avoid hitting the key.
